The Ford’s Theatre campus will be closed on May 21 and June 3, 2012.
The campus includes the museum, theatre, Petersen House and Center for Education and Leadership.

Audio TourRent an Acoustiguide, an audio tour available in both youth and adult versions and featuring character voices, sound effects and historic photos related to the history of Ford’s Theatre.

 

 

Ford's Theatre MuseumOn a self-guided tour of the Ford’s Theatre Museum, explore Lincoln's presidency from his arrival in Washington to the very minute he arrived at Ford's Theatre the fateful night of April 14th, 1865. See rare artifacts such as the deringer used by John Wilkes Booth.  30-45 minutes


Ford's TheatreAttend either a talk by a National Park Service Ranger or One Destiny (offered in the spring and early summer), featuring costumed actors who portray two historical figures present the night of the assassination. 30 minutes

 

 

Pertersen House where Abraham Lincoln Died

Cross the street and enter the Petersen House, the house where Lincoln died. Learn more about that fateful night and the people who surrounded the President in his final hours. 15 minutes

 

 

Enter the newly constructed Center for Education and Leadership. See exhibits exploring the aftermath of the assassination, the hunt for John Wilkes Booth and the lasting impact of Lincoln’s legacy. 45 minutes
