Join the inaugural class! We are looking for students with the potential to lead, the desire to make positive social change, and the dream of doing it through public speaking and performance.

The Youth Leaders and Culture Corps is open to young people in grades 7-12 and will meet every Monday from 4:00-5:30 p.m. in our Center for Education and Leadership beginning in February 2012. Integrating public speaking, leadership development and performance, students will explore the qualities of Abraham Lincoln’s leadership and consider how these qualities relate to them as future leaders. At the same time, participants will learn performance and public speaking skills, working as an ensemble to create an original performance piece about an issue that matters to the students. The program culminates in late May with a performance of their work.
